These will possible open up opportunities for spam marketing and attacks. The ipad security holes first revlealed itself in, strangly enough, in a busy bar, where an apple employee accidentally left his iphone, which contained the mailing list of the early iPad 3G adaptors. This included top level personals.
This subscriber data was obtained by a well knowwn group called Goatse Security. They follow a similar cultul to the highly popular 4chan, which have been involved in past security attacks. Basically, this group wrote a PHP script that automatically grabbed data and saved them in a database. In this particular attack, it was actually a human error that resulted in the security breach, so this attack, we can conclude could have happeend on any platform.
